The Lubbock Area Freemasons blood drive, held in honor of the 83rd anniversary of Pearl Harbor and to salute all veterans, was a resounding success.

A special thank you to Brother Goolsby for organizing the event, and to all the brothers who came out to donate the life-saving gift of blood. Your generosity has made a meaningful impact. According to the director of Vitalant, the donations collected are expected to save up to 75 lives.

Not only did the drive demonstrate the power of community, but it also highlighted the incredible benefits of donating blood. Each donation has the potential to help someone facing surgery, trauma, or medical conditions like cancer, offering a second chance at life for those in need. The act of giving blood is a simple, yet profound way to make a lasting difference in someone’s life.

The Vitalant staff was deeply impressed by the camaraderie and fellowship present. One staff member remarked, “How does everyone here know everyone?” When told that the group was composed of members of the oldest and largest fraternal order, he expressed curiosity about the Masons and the Knights Templar, and even mentioned he would look into it further.

The day was filled with laughter, great fellowship, and the shared pride of giving the gift of life to those who need it most. Thank you again to everyone who participated, and for embodying the true spirit of brotherhood and service.
