The recent State Festival was a tremendous success, drawing strong participation and showcasing the beauty of our York Rite work.
On Friday evening, 22 candidates from Central Texas received the first three degrees in Chapter, conferred in the Grand York Rite auditorium. The work was impressively carried out by Right Excellent Ruc Jernigan (Grand Scribe), James Kirkpatrick (Past Grand Master of the Council), and Jeremy Hogan.
Saturday morning opened with the Royal Arch Degree, conferred by Zach Haston, followed by both Council Degrees, which were exemplified with excellence. A special highlight came when Butch Blackman delivered the seldom-seen long form IPC in the Royal Master.
In the afternoon, the Commandery Degrees began at 2:00 p.m. The day concluded with a memorable conferral of the Order of the Temple at 7:00 p.m., held at a farm 45 minutes from the previous location.
Adding to the festival’s strength, Lubbock Chapter exemplified all the Chapter Degrees as well as the Illustrious Order of the Red Cross.
This festival truly reflected the dedication, skill, and spirit of fellowship that continues to strengthen our York Rite family. Below is a breakdown of Lubbock York Rite’s representation:
