Companions,
Our committees have been working diligently, and I am pleased to share that they are making great progress on both the budget and the bylaw audits. At our next meeting, we plan to present their work to you.
Please note that discussion on these matters will be very limited on the floor. If you have questions, concerns, or information to contribute, I encourage you to reach out directly to the committees before the meeting. This allows them to do the detailed work outside of open Council, ensuring that when they report, they will conclude with a motion and we can move immediately into that process.
To maintain transparency, printouts of all proposals will be provided to each member present. We will be following proper protocol as outlined in Article C-046 (162) of Grand Council Law, as well as our current bylaws. Most of the proposed amendments simply remove redundancies with Grand Law and clarify ambiguous language. The goal is to have clear, concise, and transparent bylaws that will serve as a sound governance document.
The budget proposals will also be included, and they are aimed at establishing a more stable and sustainable future for our Council.
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to this important work. Together, we are building a stronger foundation for the years ahead.
Fraternally,
James Arthur Clark
Thrice Illustrious Master
Lubbock Council #183
